We are so excited to have the opportunity to reveal Out of Play by Nyrae Dawn and Jolene Perry!Out of Play cover

Rock star drummer Bishop Riley doesn’t have a problem. Celebrities—especially ones suffering from anxiety—deserve to party, right? Wrong. After taking a few too many pills, Bishop wakes up in the hospital facing an intervention. If he wants to stay in the band, he’ll have to detox while under house arrest in Seldon, Alaska.

Hockey player Penny Jones can’t imagine a life outside of Seldon. Though she has tons of scholarship offers, the last thing she wants is to leave. Who’ll take care of her absent-minded gramps? Not her mother, who can’t even be bothered with the new tenants next door.

Penny’s too hung up on another guy to deal with Bishop’s crappy attitude, and Bishop’s too busy sneaking pills to care. Until he starts hanging out with Gramps. If Bishop wants a chance with the fiery girl next door, he’ll have to admit he has a problem and kick it. Too bad addiction is hard to kick…and Bishop’s about to run out of time.

Book Review: Never Too Far by Abbi Glines

Goodreads synopsis of Never Too Far

Asian Chick, Karmen’s Review on Never Too Far

Rating: 5 stars out of 5

I’m seriously suffering from a Rush hangover. I need more Rush! I love, love, love this book. It continues 3 weeks after the big cliffhanger from Fallen Too Far and the story continued to fill me up with angst and worries throughout. Even though it had a nice HEA, I’m hoping their story will still trickle in book 3, with Woods’ story! It sort of ended abruptly, but not in a bad way.

What I loved about this book, it was told in alternating POVs between Rush and Blaire. It was great to finally get into Rush’s head!

Blaire, Sweet Blaire, has definitely been handed a shitty life, but she is determined to make it the best. Rush refuses to give up on Blaire after the big bombshell, and gives her time and space in Never Too Far–well, he at least tries too! I’m not going into the story and ruining it for others, because there are some more big “OMFG” bombshells that happen in this book. All I know is that Blaire and Rush’s story was so well-done, I was completely sucked into it and happy how it ended. Rush and Blaire top the “IT” book couple!

Looking forward to book 3, Woods’ story, in Twisted Perfection. Oh and I hear there is a fourth book…Grant’s story! Just need to wait a bit longer. But until then, I will be re-reading this book over (and over) again!

Favorite Quotes: “I’m a desperate man who will take whatever the hell he can get when it comes to you.” -Rush ❤

Book Review: Rock Chick Redemption (Rock Chick #3) by Kristen Ashley

Rock Chick Redemption (Rock Chick, #3)
Goodreads synopsis of Rock Chick Redemption

White Chick, Jenn’s Review of Rock Chick Redemption #3

Rating:   4 stars out of 5

This is the story of Roxie and Hank aka Whiskey eye’s aka Lee’s brother.  Roxie is on the run from a bad boyfriend who won’t accept that is over.  Hank is a Denver Police Officer who thinks he is the one that can help work through all her problems.  As in true Rock Chick style Roxie is resisting her alpha male.  Loved this book and the reasons are many.

I can relate to Roxie and her feelings about black, white and gray and doing thinks one her own.  I only wish I had someone like Hank to help me in real life.  So in true Kristen Ashley style this book made me laugh and swoon at the same time.  Yes I said swoon – the whole cast of the hot bunch is back and we get to meet a few new people.  I honestly love these books and I can’t get enough of them.

If you haven’t read a Kristen Ashley book you are missing out, especially with this series.  This book as most of hers has a way to suck you into the story from the beginning and make you want more.  I always have book hangover when I finish her books as they leave me wanting more.  Get it and read it!!

Favorite Quote:  “That’s what love’s all about, Roxanne. You love someone, you trust them always to tell you the truth.”
