Asian Chick, Karmen’s Forever My Girl (#1 Beaumont series)
Rating: 4 stars out of 5
The synopsis itself got me, because I am just a sucker for YA books that involves long lost high school/college love, with a bit of angst and reconnecting (plus having Liam be a rock star totally helped!).
Forever My Girl was sweet and I loved the POVs between both main characters, Josie and Liam. This book didn’t dwell on the typical tatted rock star whose life is filled with chaos, groupies, drugs, and sex. It was a refreshing love story about Liam, who left his high school sweetheart to pursue his dream–being a rock star. He didn’t want to pursue the path that others wanted for him–play football and go pro. So he up and left Josie leaving them both heartbroken.
Fast forward ten years later, a tragedy strikes that sends Liam home for the first time and comes face to face with Josie (and her little, BIG secret!). But Liam has problem, he is still in love with Josie, actually always has been, but she is engaged to another man. Is Josie still in love with Liam? Or is she still pissed at Liam for walking out of her life with no reason? Argh…bring on the angst! You must read Forever My Girl yourself to find out.
Overall Forever My Girl is a sweet read, and I’m ready for books in the Beaumont series!
This is the story of Josie and Liam who’s romance started when they where young and also fell apart when they were young. Liam is a famous rocker now and Josie is living in their hometown and has a big secret. I have to say I really like this book although there was a lot of ANGST!!!!!
A bit of a love triangle as Josie is engaged to another guy. When Liam returns to Beaumont it isn’t for happy reasons and it seems he begins to realize all he gave up and what he wants in his life. I really did love this story it was an easy read with a HEA!!!
