Goodreads synopsis of Off Limits

White Chick, Jenn’s Review of Off Limits
Rating: 4.5 stars out of 5

We were given a copy of this book for an honest review. First things first this is the story of Emily and Nix (Nixon).  I have to tell you right off the bat that I loved this book.  I loved the character Nix he was so complex but also such a protector.  Emily’s character is also a little complex as she did a major turn around in her life 2 years ago.

Emily and Nix come from two different worlds and their relationship starts off with a crash – literally a crash.  They have to find their way in order to get it so they can work out their own inner demons.  Let me tell you there were definitely ups and downs in this book and my heart broke a few times for Nix.

I can’t say much more than I loved this book.  I read it in one sitting it was that good!!.

Off Limits is the 2nd book from Off series and I had to admit, I actually like it much better! I was a bit hesitant to read it, because I wasn’t a fan of the first book, but I loved Emily and Nix’s story! Emily is the younger sister of Ryan from Off Sides. I hated her in that book, she was snotty, judgmental and just like her controlling mother. But in Off Limits, Emily made a huge turn around after realizing her attitude and learning how to be kind to others from her sister-in-law, Danny.

She runs into Nix (literally runs into him) and is immediately drawn to him, even though she knows he is a bad boy and not good for her. Nix is the older brother of Linc, hockey player BFF of Ryan. He’s a hot mess from being in the war and it pretty much keeps him “off limits” to love and getting close to anyone. When Emily begins to work for Nix, for paying off a debt after running his bike over and the more they are together, the more their feelings get stronger. But Nix continues to freak and push her away, until finally pushed her away for good (ok maybe just a couple of weeks!). He knows he wants to be with Emily, but in order to do that he needs to face his past, his demons and let go of all the guilt.

I really like the relationship/storyline between Emily and Nix, when they were together, it was hot and steamy. I felt there was more to them than Ryan and Danny, but it was nice that their story continued a bit in Off Limits. Nix is definitely uber dominant when it comes to relationships (not in a crazy bad way!).  I’m hoping to get a book on Linc, Nix’s younger brother and get his story!
