I’m a huge fan of Seth and Devi from My Misery Muse, one of my favorite books, so I was excited to continue the story with Drake and Mags in Faith. Drake, what can I say–he’s loyal, hard-working, hot, total alpha and in love and willing to do anything for Mags and his Princess, Quinn. I think every woman needs a Drake in their life!

I wanted to freakin’ smack Mags most of the time while reading Faith. She was a strong, stubborn and a tough character, wanting to prove things on her own, but Drake was more than willing to be there for her and her daughter. But of course, she constantly pushed him away, even with the encouragement of Dev and most of the MMM band mates that Drake loved her, she still continue to deny it. And I loved Dev in this book, she was super sassy and funny that mad me laugh out loud!

When Mags and Drake did hook-up, their scenes were hot. But it did take something serious for Mags to come to her senses about Drake–and I wonder if that did not happen, would she of? Anyway, Faith had a bit of angst and some action in it and never disappointed!

I’m hoping to get a book about X. His “relationship” with Cin is quite intriguing and mysterious. There definitely can be a hot, maybe f’ed up story between those two.

So I loved My Misery Muse…loved loved it!!!! Faith is the story of Drake and Mags, Drake is Devi’s brother from My Misery Muse. Drake is amazing, I simply can’t put it any other way.  He works in the music industry and has known Mags a long time as Mags is Devi’s best friend.

Oh the angst in this book is crazy.  Mostly caused by Mags.  I have to say that my least favorite thing about this book was Mags.  I really began not to like her at certain point, but I loved Drake and I wanted him to be happy.  Seriously, if Drake existed in real life I would do anything for him. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all!

Drake&MagsAfter he had her secured, and readjusted her blanket again, we were ready to explore. He started pushing Quinn’s stroller with one hand and held mine with the other, running his thumb over the back of my hand.

“Have you eaten yet?” he asked.

I shook my head no.

“All right, let’s get some lunch then we can go from there.”

“That works for me.”

seattleWe found a small café that had outdoor seating and waited for the waitress to come take our orders. I took a deep breath of the salty sea air; I was beginning to truly relax for the first time in what like forever.

“So we ever going to talk about what happened last night?”

I jerked my head towards him. “Uhm, what happened last night was a mistake?” I made it sound more like a question than an actual answer.

He shook his head. “Uhm, no baby, you kissed me, that’s not a mistake in my book.”

“Lapse of judgment?”

“Nope,” he said popping the p.

I sighed. “A moment of weakness, Drake; nothing can happen between us.”

He sighed. “Why not, Mags? We would be good together.”

I shook my head. “We would be a disaster.”

“How so?”

“All we do is fight.”

“Sexual tension, next.”

“We don’t really know each other.”

“I know your favorite color is pink, though you will never admit it and say green. I know your favorite band is Deathcab for Cutie; that you cry during the happy ending in movies; that you say you don’t believe in marriage but would have preferred having a kid after being married.  I know that you had a fucked up childhood, would do anything for my sister, and that we would be great together, baby.”

kissHe finished then grabbed my hand and kissed the palm. This man would be the death of me.

“That doesn’t mean anything, Drake.”

“You are so damn stubborn.”

“Am not.”

“Oh and you have to get the final word in, and you think you are always right.”

I shook my head and had to hide a smile. “Okay, so let’s say all that is true, why would you want someone with those issues.”

“Cause, baby, we all have issues, some of us just hide them better.”
