Callie knows Kayden is going back to his dark place and desperately wants to save him. But saving him means admitting her secrets aloud. Callie and Kayden are stronger than they think, especially when they’re together. Together they move forward, face their demons, and finally start to heal from their traumatic pasts.

Oh, we just wanted to hug Callie and Kayden. These two have gone through so much, we just wanted to wave a magic wand and fix all the bad! They go through real life, tough situations that it breaks our heart knowing that this really happens in the world.

The Redemption of Callie & Kayden picks up after that cliffhanger (!!!) from the first book. We do not want to give anything away in our review, because it’s a must read for all you Callie and Kayden fans to find out what happens with their story.

We can say this book is heartbreaking, emotional and made us believe in hope. Kayden and Callie needed so much healing and redemption to move on; it took a roller coaster of emotions for them to get there and you won’t put your Kindle down until the very end! They are truly a beautiful couple. They were strong and determined to make things better. We also loved their friends, Seth and Luke. They were both incredible friends to Callie and Kayden.

The Redemption of Callie & Kayden is well written and such a wonderful read. We now can’t wait for book 3, The Destiny of Violet and Luke. There’s definitely a story there, that can’t wait to be told. And were hoping to get a little more of Callie and Kayden in it too!

If you haven’t read, book 1, The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden, you can purchase it here.

Forgiving your brother’s murderer may be noble, but falling in love with him borders on betrayal.

I think I held my breathe the entire time I read this book. Wow! Just wow! Fighting Fate really makes you feel and understand both sides of a terrible tragedy. It’s a beautiful love story about forgiveness and redemption. My heart broke for both Paige and Logan.

Paige is suffering after losing her brother, Trace, from a tragic accident over three years ago. Following the death of her brother; her family falls apart. Paige is angry, hurt and lost all because of the man, Logan, who killed her brother.  Paige and Logan’s path crosses unexpectedly and she soon finds out that Logan is not living the fabulous, rich-boy life she imagined he was after the accident. It turns out he is suffering terribly too. Paige and Logan slowly realize that they can help each other heal, but not without heartbreak and guilt.  Their journey to forgive each other and themselves takes you through their emotional rollercoaster throughout the book.

I definitely enjoyed reading Fighting Fate. It is a unique story and I loved the alternate POV between the characters.  It has plenty of angst and heartbreak, but  it’s worth the read to get to Logan and Paige’s HEA.

ARC Review: Starr Fated by G.E. Griffin

Starr Fated

ARC courtesy of Author G.E. Griffin for an honest review. Purchase Starr Fated on Amazon.

When art student Seraphina Jones leaves her bag behind on a London tube train, little does she know this will change the course of her life. She initially brushes off the cute guy who comes to her rescue, but when he suggests a seemingly perfect solution to her problems, she decides to take him up on his offer.

For London School of Economics student Jamie Starr, returning the bag he discovers the gorgeous babe sitting opposite him on the train has left behind gives him the perfect excuse to get to know her better. Jamie is not used to rejection from girls, but despite his best attempts, Sera remains intriguingly unreceptive to his efforts.

Cynical wealthy businessman Liam Starr is certain Jamie’s good nature has been taken advantage of by a hard up art student. Liam doesn’t believe in any of that love or romance rubbish, and he’s determined that a pretty face is not going to take his gullible baby brother for a ride.

But first impressions aren’t always correct, and people aren’t always what they seem.

G.E. Griffin is a new author to be on the look out for! Ok, I have to admit, I am a huge fan (more like obsessed) of her Christian Grey’s POV Blog that I stumbled upon over a year ago. We’ll get to that later, since this review is all about her first book, Starr Fated.

Starr Fated, first of all–I love the name of the heroine in the book, Seraphina Jones (Sera)! Both Sera’s parents passed, so she’s all alone; but is a determined young woman, who is going to school and working to support herself. She’s bright, smart, but totally naive (especially when it comes to the opposite sex!).

Sera meets Jamie Starr after leaving her bag on the Tube. Wanting to get to know the gorgeous Sera, Jamie patiently helps her out with a few things. Jamie Starr had a lot of potential of book boyfriend, but then lost his status when a “misunderstanding” happens–total douche move!

Liam Starr is Jamie’s older brother. Liam is total alpha and controlling–both in his professional and personal life. He loves to recycle his busty blonde f*ck buddies and has no time (or sees a point) in relationships. He watches over his little brother and thinks Jamie is wasting his time on Sera.

Soon after Sera interns at Liam’s company, she proves herself to be bright, smart and talented. Liam realizes his first impressions of Sera were wrong and begins to have feelings for her. He persues her and she believes Liam is “The One.” There isn’t a love triangle between the brothers, but I didn’t feel a connection between Liam and Sera (at first)–it just seemed like it came out of nowhere.

These two start a very hot, steamy relationship. Of course, Sera is the naive virgin and Liam is the “Take Charge/Spank Daddy” in the bedroom kind of guy. Yes, “Spank Daddy” named by her friend, Abby (who I loved her fiery attitude!). But Liam was gentlemanly-like, as he took their relationship slow for her, but he definitely had his “Christian Grey” controlling moments with her.

Starr Fated had plenty of steam, drama and angst. And the end has a cliffhanger, so I can’t wait till Starr Destined! There were a few moments of British lingo that I didn’t quite get a first, but did catch on. Overall, this was a great first book by the author and looking forward to more in the series.

Ok, back to the 50 Shades’ Christian POV blog written by this author…I was (currently am) obsessed with her blog over the past year. She does a freakin’ brilliant job of retelling the 50 Shades story in Christian’s POV. You can find it here! Enjoy!

This is book 2 in the Line of Duty series by Tessa Bailey. This is the story of NYPD Detective Troy Bennett and reformed pool hustler Ruby.  These two meet and sparks fly instantly.  Troy is all Alpha Male – domineering and use to people doing what he tells them too.  Ruby is use to doing what she wants when she wants, but with Troy all that goes out the window.  Troy is working to keep Ruby safe and Ruby is working to keep Troy safe.  But in the bedroom Troy calls the shots and Ruby wouldn’t have it any other way.  This book is a quick read and it kept me entertained.  Make sure you have an ice cold beverage close by while reading this book because it is STEAMY.
