Blog Tour Stop: Feel the Rush by Kelsie Leverich: Review, Excerpt & Giveaways!

Picking the wrong men is a talent Meagan Mitchell has perfected. She’s sweet, confident, beautiful—and single. With her thirtieth birthday sneaking up on her, she needs a new plan. No more Mr. Wrongs or Mr. Bads, it’s time to find Mr. Safe…

Army Captain, Reed Porter, lives for the thrill—he’s an Airborne Jumpmaster with a rush addiction. He’s sexy and playful, and he quickly tempts Meagan with his rich Southern drawl and sinful looks. But slowing down and settling down are not in his agenda, making him exactly the type of man Meagan wants to avoid…

As their undeniable attraction heats up, Meagan has to decide if she’s willing to risk everything on a chance at love with a reckless charmer. Is she brave enough to bet her future—and her heart—on Mr. Thrill? Or will Reed finally learn that the feeling of a safe landing is just as addicting as the rush of the fall?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)

Our Review of Feel the Rush!
4 Stars!

Captain Reed Porter! What can we say? He is sweet, honest, swoon-worthy and dangerous (but in a good way!). He made us want to jump out of planes and go on white water rafting adventures! Feel the Rush is a great story about Meagan, an Army nurse, who moves to Georgia with her roommate, Eva, to start fresh. There she meets Reed.

Meagan is tired of dating all the wrong men. She wants safe and a stable future with her next relationship. Reed is living everyday like it’s the last–he’s spontaneous and loves to take risks. But Reed is also hiding dark secrets that haunts him everyday. Meagan is clearly attracted to Reed, but she scared to take the leap with him. And Reed wants to keep Meagan in his life, even if it means being “friends.” These two try the path of friendship, but their attraction is so strong–it’s hard to keep it platonic. But when these two do hook-up…S-T-E-A-M-Y!

Meagan was a great character in the beginning; she was fun, spur of the moment and adventurous. But towards the end, she started to annoy us. We felt like she became whiny and blind in seeing what was in front of her–Reed! Reed was perfect, he was honest with her; but she was just so hung up on having the perfect future by a certain age. She just kept pushing him away without even talking it out with him. But she did finally grow on us at the very end.

These two do get a HEA, but it’s not without drama and angst– and that’s what we loved about Feel the Rush! It’s a page-turner that you just makes you want to scream at Meagan to get it right (also at Reed!). We also felt for Reed, when his secrets finally come out–heartbreaking! He needs a hug from us!

Feel the Rush is a great weekend read, that makes you want to find yourself a hot Army man! And we loved her roomie, Eva. She was feisty and a great friend who told you like is. We hope to read her story in the future!

ReadHe lifted the T-shirt over her head and tossed it to the ground. Then he took a moment to just look at her. The woman who had taken up residence in his mind—in his dreams—for the last week was right in front of him, and he wanted to make sure to embed the real image of her in his mind, because the memory of her from that night long ago did nothing to exemplify what was in front of him now.

“You’re staring,” she whispered shyly.

“I know.”

She slid her legs behind her and raised to her knees in front of him. Her tits were right in his reach, her nipples pink and taut, and he wanted to lean down and pull one into his mouth and roll it between his lips—but he didn’t. He was more interested to see what Meagan had planned now that she was on her knees in front of him.

She inched her body closer to him, but even then she still wasn’t close enough—not as close as Reed needed her to be. Reaching out, she grabbed his hands in hers then slowly brought one to her mouth and pulled his thumb between her lips, sucking it gently. His eyes were fixated on her plump lips as she swirled her tongue around his thumb then released it from her warm mouth. She moved his hands down, splaying his palms over her collarbone, down over her tits—barely giving him time to enjoy the soft mounds before she skimmed them over her stomach. Just as he thought she was leading him to her sweet spot, to where he was itching to touch—to feel her warm and wet, coating his fingers—she wrapped his hands around her waist and pressed her body against him.

The closeness he was craving seeped into him as her soft, bare skin fluttered over his.
“Isn’t it more fun to touch than to look?”

Oh, hell, he was in for it with this woman.

Blog Tour Stop: Stay with Me by Elyssa Patrick: Review, Excerpt and Giveaways!

Stay with MeWith one look, I’m his . . .
With one touch, he’s mine . . .
With one kiss, it changes everything between us . . .

I’ve been famous since I can remember. Singing, acting, dancing—I’ve done it all. The tabloids cover my every move, but I don’t want that anymore. I want to be normal, whatever that is.

When I leave Hollywood for college in Vermont, I’m on my own for the first time in my life. This is my chance to figure out who I am and what I want in life.

But it’s a lot harder than I expected. I can’t escape my image. Classes are difficult, and I’m struggling. And then there’s Caleb Fox. Sexy, intriguing Caleb Fox.

Caleb is the one man who doesn’t want to use me. He breaks down my walls. He challenges me. He wants me. And I just don’t know if I can give him the same—or if he’ll stick around when he finds out my shameful secret that the tabloids haven’t managed to uncover.

Dating him is risky enough, but loving him could break me.

Asian Girl Karmen’s Review of Stay With Me
Rating: 4 stars out of 5

Stay with Me is such a sweet read, but with a little bit of dirtiness!

Hailey Bloom, a triple threat–she sings, dances and acts. And is one hot, Hollywood Starlet with a dark secret and a pushy stage mother. Hailey needs out of the limelight. So her first step in becoming a regular 18-year old; she leaves Hollywood and enrolls in college across the country in Vermont.

She tries to fit in, but is jaded by new friendships and relationships. Being famous and knowing people like to use her and sell her out, Hailey has built a wall around her that keeps her guard up. That’s until she meets Caleb Fox at a party. She’s immediately drawn to him. I love Caleb Fox. He is such a sweet character, but with a little hot alpha-ness in the bedroom in him!

Caleb is nothing but honest with Hailey as they both slowly develop a relationship. He just wants to know the real Hailey and not the Superstar. He helps her knock down her walls and helps her figure out who she really is. These two have a sweet, but seriously H-O-T relationship.

Hailey also begins to develop friendships with Caleb’s roomies (I loved each of their characters!) and his sister, Daphne. She begins to feel “normal,” but Hailey is still harboring a secret that the media has not yet discovered. I won’t tell you what it is or who leaks, but it rocks her world and is scared of what Caleb will think!

Stay with Me is a quick and easy read. Sure these two are young, but their relationship is off the chart steamy! And it’s great to get a story with a strong heroine, who isn’t needy or demands attention. I’m looking forward in reading how Caleb and Hailey continue their relationship in the next few books! Plus, get new stories about Caleb’s roommates in the With Me series–I can’t wait till their stories are told. And by the way–Daphne and Nick needs a book too–there’s definitely some sort of secret hook-up between the two!

ReadHe runs a finger down my cheek. “You’re blushing.”

“I’m always blushing around you.”

“I know,” he says, a shy grin escaping as he leans closer to me. “I’ve always wanted to kiss you when you’re blushing.”

I draw back slightly to meet his dark, heated gaze. Breathing seems suddenly impossible, and the space between us too far. “Oh?”

“I’ve wanted to put my mouth”—his finger traces a path over the apple of my cheek—“here and . . .

“Here.” His thumb grazes my cheekbone and then down my neck. “And here and here and here.”

“Just so you know,” I say, leaning into his touch, as his fingers continue to stroke me, pet me, caress my skin that burns under him, “I’ve wanted you to do the same. And I—”

I swallow heavily as Caleb’s head swoops down and he presses his mouth against the pulse in my neck. His teeth graze oh so gently against me as his tongue soothes the mark, and then his lips trail up my neck.

“You were saying?”

My hands clutch on his shoulders. “I want to kiss you. Everywhere.”

ARC Review: The Marriage Merger by Jennifer Probst

cover31437-smallGoodreads synopsis of The Marriage Merger

White Chick Jenn’s Review

Rating: 4 stars out of 5

This is book 4 in the Marriage to a Billionaire series and it is my favorite.   This is the story of Julietta and Sawyer.  Oh how I loved Sawyer who had this hard exterior but a super soft inside.  Don’t get me wrong he has his own sense of what is good for Julietta and what he thinks should happen between them.

I loved Julietta and here is why:  1- she appears to have it together on the outside but ultimately she has insecurities just as everyone else does.  2.  She has a big heart and loves her family.  In a sense her family reminded me a lot of my family – dysfunction and all.

As I said this was a great read – steamy in all the right places, funny, sweet and a HEA.  I’m a sucker for a Happily Ever After.  It got a 4 out of 5 stars from me.

BLOG TOUR STOP: Bully by Penelope Douglas: Review, Giveaway & NEW Excerpt from Until You!

Bully by Penelope DouglasWe are so excited to part of Penelope Douglas’ BULLY Blog Tour. We have a 5 Star Review, Giveaways AND…a brand new excerpt from UNTIL YOU!

Book Description:
My name is Tate. He doesn’t call me that, though. He would never refer to me so informally, if he referred to me at all.

We’re neighbors, and once, we were best friends. But then, one summer, he turned on me and has made it his mission to screw up my life at every opportunity. I’ve been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got more sadistic as time wore on, and I made myself sick trying to hide from him. I worried about what was around every corner and behind every door. So I left.

I spent a year studying abroad and bathed in the freedom of life without Jared. Now I’m back to finish up high school and get the hell out of here forever. I’m hoping that after a year of breathing room, he’s moved on and forgotten all about me.

But even if he hasn’t changed, I have. I’m not interested in avoiding him or turning the other cheek anymore. We’re going to go head to head, because neither of us wants to back down.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)

Karmen & Jenn’s Review
Rating: 5 stars out of 5

Bully. Just wow! We can’t tell you  how excited we are to be part of this blog tour!  Bully has become a favorite read of 2013 and let’s just say–nothing mattered until we finished every single page.

Tate is a sweet high school girl, who endured hell the past few years by the “bullying” of her former best friend and next door neighbor, Jared. She was taunted and humiliated so much, that she packed up and left to study abroad for one year.

Jared, the sweet boy who use to climb trees, watch thunderstorms and hold Tate’s hand is long gone. He grew up to be mean, cruel and his anger was directed solely on Tate. He is a bully–and for no reason at all. Losing her friendship with Jared caused Tate a lot of hurt and confusion. She just didn’t understand all the hate towards her.

After returning from France, Tate decided she’s not going take it anymore. It was her last year of high school and she was determined to face it–face Jared, his best friend, Madoc and all her classmates that believed the lies and rumors.

“You’ve already made me cry countless times.” I raised my middle finger to him slowly, and asked, “Do you know what this is?” I took my middle finger and patted the corner of my eye with it. “It’s me, wiping away the last tear you’ll ever get.”

And Tate did it. She fought back, talked back and stood up to herself. Tate is such a fabulous character! She is strong and determined. She was done being angry and hurt by Jared. So to let go of that anger, she delivers a monologue in class, in front of Jared (to him!)–it was so emotional and raw, and we loved every single word and the reaction of Jared–priceless!

As the story progressed, it was clear that Jared and all his “bully-iness” is a facade. We learn why he is hurting and broken on the inside (but it did not make what he was doing right!). His actions were unforgettable and he didn’t deserve a second of Tate’s time or  love back, but these two had such a deep past as childhood friends–we couldn’t stop rooting for them!

“Yesterday lasts forever. Tomorrow comes never. Until you…”

Since this book is from Tate’s POV, the entire time when reading this, we just wanted to know “what the hell is Jared thinking!”  So we are excited (seriously squeeing!) that we will be getting Until You. A book from Jared’s perspective, plus a little more to the story of Bully! And don’t miss below this post a brand new excerpt from Until You!

Bully is a surprisingly fantastic book and a must read for all! A favorite that will be re-read over and over!

NewExcerptNew excerpt from UNTIL YOU!
(Tate Shows Up At Party #1)

Piper had come over to the party, uninvited, but I took what was offered.

Noise, activity, distraction.

Distraction from my father.

Distraction from the pull I felt coming from next door.

I grappled at Piper, looking for the magical body part that would get me zoned in. I peeled down the top of her dress, kneading her breasts, kissing her lips, but none of it brought me the peace I wanted.

I wanted Tate.

There was a fire in my chest, my brain, and every other part of my body for that girl.

But I wanted her to want me, too. And she never would.

I’m hoping Jared has forgotten all about me.

She’d never wanted me, just like my father never wanted me, and these people controlled me. Why? Why the hell did I give them so much power? I almost self-destructed over Tate after she left, and my father was still screwing with my life.

I grabbed Piper and hauled her up into my arms, carrying her to the bed. The peace would come when I was inside of her. Then, I would be happily lost.

I jerked my head st the pounding on the door.

“Go away!” I shouted as Piper unfastened my belt.

“That girl. Tate? She’s downstairs, man. You better get down there.”

And I fucking halted what I was doing and sat up.

“What the hell?” Why was she at my house? I looked at the alarm clock that read after midnight.

“What girl?” Piper still lay back on the pillows. “You’re neighbor that Madoc was talking about last night?”

I climbed off the bed. “Just get dressed,” I bit out. “I’m not feeling this tonight.”

“What?!” she screeched, clearly pissed.

But I didn’t stop to explain. I never did. Piper knew better.

Yanking the door open, my friend Sam waited in the hallway, hands in pockets and looking uncertain.

“Sorry, man.” He held up his hands. “Madoc’s got his hands all over her. Thought I should get you.”

Fucking little shit. I barreled past Sam and down the hallway, ready to stick my best friend’s head the toilet to wake him the fuck up. I was pretty sure he had a thing for Tate, but he was told, years ago, that she was off limits. And what the hell was she doing here anyway?

Coming down the stairs, I rounded the corner and immediately stopped, my stomach caving in as the air left me.

There she was.

Jesus Christ.

She was so beautiful it hurt.

She was lost in thought, otherwise she would’ve seen me, too.

I pressed my hands above my head to either side of the doorframe. It was my way of trying to look casual, like I didn’t care. But honestly, I just needed the support to keep my legs from caving beneath me.

My heart thundered through my chest, and I wished like hell that I could pause this moment, so I could just look at her until the Earth fell apart.

Her hair was brighter, and her skin was darker, from being in the sun this summer I would assume, and her body had gotten more toned. More grown up. The shape to the back of her thighs had my mouth going dry. Her nose was still little, her skin still flawless, and her full lips all made her look like the perfect doll. And I never played with dolls, but I damn sure wanted to play with this one.

Right at that moment, I wanted everything from Tate. Everything. Her anger and passion, her hate and lust, her body and soul.

I wanted control of all of it.

I’m the one that haunts you. Not the other way around. My father invaded my head again. He and Tate were always there.

Neither of them wanted me, and both of them owned me.

But one of them I could control.
