Blog Tour Stop: Rock the Beat (Black Falcon #3) by Michelle Valentine

RocktheBeatTwenty-year-old Holly Pearson never dreamed that while working at her father’s motocross track she’d run into the walking, talking definition of trouble in a sexy, tattooed package—Trip Douglas, the man sent to evaluate the track for a possible investment opportunity. Holly makes no attempt to hide the fact she despises Trip, but she learns to be civil toward him when he offers to help her land the man of her dreams.

Trip needs a break from the crazy rock-and-roll lifestyle he’s been living for the past few years. With his Black Falcon band mates settling down with marriage and babies, Trip peruses an investment opportunity in motocross, something he’s always been passionate about. Hiding his celebrity status, Trip infiltrates the new business posing as a dirt bike rider training for the X-Games. The only obstacle is the owner’s daughter, Holly. She’s a real ball bustin’ Ice Queen, and she’ll do whatever it takes to make the deal fall through. Trip soon discovers that winning over his new enemy is the key to gaining a partnership in Mountain Time Speed Track.

Knowing he’s the expert on getting laid, Trip ropes Holly into becoming his ally by helping her score a date with the man she’s crushing on. The problem is, the more time Trip and Holly spend together, the more they uncover the undeniable attraction between them. Soon they both realize that even the best laid plans go to hell when you find you’re falling in love with the enemy.

**Book THREE in the Black Falcon series. Can also be read as a stand alone novel.**

Review on Rock the Beat

Rating: 4 stars out of 5

Trip! He’s tatted; a rock star; a drummer; rides motocross and has a filthy mouth. I thought Riff was my favorite, but I think I have more love for this bad boy drummer!

Black Falcon is on a break and Trip just doesn’t get why his band mates are tied to their women and settling down with their new family. He’s been hurt by an ex and doesn’t see the appeal of being in a relationship–so what does he do? Turns up that cocky charm and plays the field!

Trip looks into a business opportunity at a motorcross track that is failing and wants to invest in it to make it successful. He decides to go “undercover,”  because he doesn’t want his Rock Star status to be known. What he does discover besides this investment opportunity, is a girl who will change his life and make him fall in love!

Holly is home after leaving college to help her father and their struggling business. That’s when she runs into Trip (again!). Holly is weary of Trip, thinking he is like all the other cocky riders that goes to their track. So Trip has his work cut out and tries to tone down that “All Woman Want Me” attitude!  Holly is a sweet character and Trip is the perfect match for her–even though it takes her time to realize this!

Their relationship starts off as “friends” and  slowly builds into something more. But there is always some drama that throws a curve ball into their relationship! Rock the Beat is steamy, sweet and a great read for all you Black Falcon fans!

And the bonus ending….LOVED! A little more Noel and Lanie bonus awaits you at the end of the book.

I’m already ready for Rock My Body (#4) book! I can’t wait to see the adventures of Trip’s twin, Tyke Douglas!
