BLOG TOUR STOP: More Than Her Him (More #3) by Jay McLean: Review and Giveaways!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” – Marianne Williamson

We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.

And they did.

They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.

But now we’re back.

And we’re fighting.

Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.

I can’t say it enough. I more than love this series. I more than love Logan and Amanda. I never want their story to end.

We all know what happens in More Than Her, so I’m not going to re-hash it. And if you haven’t read it–then what is wrong with you? And then don’t read this review! More Than Him picks up right after–the aftermath of hurt and broken hearts.

“You just fucking left me.”

Logan leaves thinking what he did was right. Thinking that leaving Amanda is what’s best for her–even though he loves her. He can’t get over the guilt of what almost happened to her “because of him.” My heart broke for Amanda. Ms. McLean did a fantastic job on writing about her heartbreak and her trying to get over Logan.

“She was my person.”

And Logan, this boy is the ultimate book boyfriend. He spent his year away helping others. He didn’t spend it out and about drinking and partying. Logan left to spend his time with other needing help– Doctors Without Borders. And then he returns home a year later, hoping to win her back.

“We got a lot of shit to work thorough.”
“Yeah,” I agreed.
“But once we do, we’re going to be amazing.”

I held my breath during their first encounter after a year apart! Oh it was so good! Eventually, Logan and Amanda slowly take their time  to get to know each other again. It wasn’t easy, there still is a lot of distrust between the two. While Logan was away on his mission, he kept a journal. This journal was amazing, heartbreaking and gave us a sense of what Logan was really thinking!

More Than Him blew me away. I’m pretty sure I re-read this about 3 times already and will continue to re-read it, because it’s now a favorite of mine. I highly suggest that starting with the beginning of the series cause all the characters have a fantastic story. I’m so excited to get more with the next book–Cam and Lucy!

5 out of 5 stars

We love this series. It’s full of hot bad ass MC boys. Their not your typical sweet heroes who come swooping in on their white horse. These boys, do sweep in for their ladies, but on their Harleys and with their scary (but hot) attitude!

It’s now a toss up between who we love more: Duke or Ryan?

Thrash takes place before and after Ride. We meet both Duke and Nicole in Ride. Nicole is a tough girl, she comes from the MC world, but has been living on her own and taking care of her teenage brother.

We don’t want to go into and spoil Duke and Nicole’s story, but we loved the push and pull between these two. There was so much chemistry and steam, but these two were so stubborn, it made their story frustrating and exciting all at the same time! This book was filled with plenty of action, hotness and fabulous HEA for these two.

We highly recommend this series and can’t wait to get more. We hope we get a little bit more of Alex and Ryan and how her family is doing (particularly her twin brother!).

perf5.500x8.500.inddDr. Angeline Hemming is a beautiful, sassy, no-nonsense type of girl who has risen from a difficult past to become one of Chicago’s most successful and respected criminal profilers. In exchange for free commercials to promote her favorite charitable causes, Angel answers calls and gives relationship advice on a Friday night radio program.

Alexander Avery is a gorgeous and successful corporate genius who doesn’t believe in love. When his girlfriend-of-convenience calls into Angel’s program, he is furious with the show’s host who doles out (what he considers) blind advice, without knowing all the facts… and he decides to give her a piece of his mind, and his side of the story!

When Angel informs Alex he’s the one in need of a much-deserved lesson, all hell breaks loose as these two type-A personalities battle it out for control over minds and hearts, and yes, in bed. Not only are they fighting each other at every turn, but they are also struggling to uphold the convictions they each live by.

It’s unclear who is stronger, but both must discover that to get what they desperately want, they may have to give a little… or a lot.

BLOG TOUR STOP: More Than Her (More #2) by Jay McLean: Review, Giveaways & Excerpt!

More Than Her“For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction.”

For every choice you make there are rewards,
or there are consequences.
It was my choice to walk away the first time.
And my choice to chase her the second.
But sometimes you don’t get a choice,
and all you get are the consequences.

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Unless that someone is Logan Matthews.
Because loving him didn’t give me the strength to walk away. It didn’t give me the courage to fight for him. And when it was over,
all it gave me was a broken heart.

Karmen’s Review
Rating: 5 stars out of 5

I loved this book. Wait…I hate that I’m now obsessed with Logan and “her!”

Logan. He is charming, funny (yes, the way he asked her out!) and an asshole, but I could not help but love him. And learning about his past was heartbreaking.  In More Than Her, Ms. McLean takes us from past to present in the beginning so we know what’s going on with Logan and ” the girl.”

It’s hard not spoil this story without giving away too much, but I will say getting a second is not easy for Logan and “her.” There’s a lot of hurt and confusion between the two, which made their story beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time.

I hate him. I hate him. I hate him. I hate him
so fucking much , I want to push him up
against the wall and punch him in the face.
And then I want to lick him.

During their second chance, Logan knows he screwed up the first time around and will do anything to fix it now.  He has his work cut out to prove his love. But it’s not without drama, angst, and surprises. I loved getting in Logan’s head. He made me laugh, swoon and scream at him! And the steamy scenes between the two are HOT!

…I did whatever she said. Balls. Pocket.

It’s way too easy to spill the beans about their story to you, but I wont. I will say, it’s a must read and will make you say “DAMN, WTF?” at the end. And if you read the first book, More Than This, then you’ll be excited to know that you’ll get more of the gang in it: Jake and Mikalya and 7036931Lucy and Cam.

I’m so excited to hear that the release date for More Than Him is releasing early–1/28! I can’t tell you how much I need this next book. Until then, I will re-read this and hope you all add this fabulous, well-written series to your list!

ReadHe gripped my ass tighter. I let out a sound I had no idea I was capable of. I was so fucking turned on. His movements on me were making me so wet I could feel it soaking my panties. His mouth moved from my neck to my ear, ”You gotta quit making those sounds, baby.” He kissed the spot behind it. “I’m starting to lost it.”

Then he took my mouth in his, moving into me harder, pinning me to the wall. My leg on the floor moved to wrap around him. I needed him closer to me; I needed more of him.

He started to build a rhythm again. I felt that slow burn building low in my stomach. I didn’t know how the fuck he was doing it. Or what the fuck he was even doing. But I didn’t want it to stop. Ever. “Oh my God, Logan.” I was panting; my head threw back against the wall. He was on my neck. Sucking. Hard. He was going to leave a mark. I wanted him to.

“Matthews! What the fuck are you doing?” A deep voice yelled.

I screamed, dropped my legs, ducked, and hid behind him.

Oh. My. God.

Reality set in.

What the fuck were we doing?

“Fuck.” he spat. His hand went down his pants to adjust himself before turning around.

“What the fuck do you think this is, Matthews?”

“Sorry, Coach”

Oh. My. God.

Kill me now.

“Go home!” I was too embarrassed to look past Logan to see his coaches reaction.

“Yes Sir.” Logan sounded like he was about to laugh.

What the hell?

“I’ll cover for you.” His coach sounded different now, like he was trying to contain his own laughter. “Fuck, I wish I was in college again,” he said, before I heard his footsteps walking away.

I don’t know what emotion was on my face when Logan turned to me, but he laughed.

Fucking laughed.

“This shit’s not funny!” I whispered loudly. ” I almost let you have me. ” I motioned with my finger at our surroundings. “Right here!”

He didn’t respond. Just looked me up and down and licked his lips. His eyes settled on my face, as he brought his hand to cup my cheek.

And then his face was so close to mine; I could feel his breath on my lips. He rubbed his nose against mine. “Wait here,” he said, his voice low, laced with desire. “We’re not even close to being done. I’m going to take you home and I’m going to fucking finish what I started. And when I’m done with you, you won’t even remember what happened just now. All you’ll remember is how I make you feel when you’re screaming my name.”
