White Chick Jenn’s Review of Revealing Us

Rating: 5 stars out of 5

This is book three of the Inside Out Trilogy and I have been waiting for this book since I read the second in the trilogy.  I didn’t think it was possible to love Chris Merit more than I already had but honestly I love him more.  I have to say that what I love most about this series is the the two main characters.  Sometimes in books I may really love one character more than the other but I honestly love both Chris and Sara.  I like that Sara is independent yet understands that Chris is it for her.  I love that Chris is a hot alpha male with a heart of gold.

In book three we learn a lot more about Chris and his past.  First there are no spoilers about those in here but I am going to talk about them generally.  So what we learned about Chris only made me love him more.  When he finally reveals where his pain comes from it made me cry but somehow made me love him more.

LRJ did a great job with story development in this book as well as all the books in the series.  I can’t tell you how much i loved this book as well as some of the supporting characters we met.  Mark makes a small appearance kind of and let me tell you at first I didn’t like Mark but now I love him. I read this book in one sitting – I literally stayed up till 2 am to finish it.  I loved the ending and I have to say I have new fondness for dragons and dragon tattoos!!!!  If you haven’t read this series yet I highly recommend it.

So this is Mark’s novella and let me tell you I freaking loved it.  I mean seriously loved him.  In this book we get a glimpse at Mark and he need for control. I loved how this book was written and the story line with Mark and Crystal.  I have to tell you the only thing I didn’t like about this book was that it ended!!!  I want more Mark…..

BLOG TOUR STOP: Jet (Marked Men #2) by Jay Crownover: Review and Giveaways!

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Asian Chick, Karmen’s Review of Jet
Rating: 4 stars out of 5

Jet Keller, a rock star with tight pants and all kinds of temptation–who can’t resist that! The book starts out with Ayden throwing her drunk self onto Jet, but being rejected by him. An embarrassed Ayden walks away thinking Jet has no interest in her. But it’s far from the truth, Jet is attracted to her, but just doesn’t think he is good enough for her. Then jump to almost a year later–Jet, Ayden and Cora (love that girl) are roomies, and the attraction between the two is still there. But Jet, the typical rock star, has groupies in and out and Ayden, who is trying to be someone she’s not, is dating boring, sweater vest man!

Then finally (FINALLY!), these two decide to get together; to give their relationship a chance. Oh…but it’s not easy. Jet has a few demons himself and Ayden can’t let go of her past (granted, her family is whacked!). So these two ride out a crazy roller coaster of emotions. I wanted to smack some sense into Ayden throughout the book, Jet is nearly the perfect rock star boyfriend–he loves his friends, his job, his passion for music and tried to take care of his ‘ma (again, his family is whacked too!).

But it all does wrap up into a fab HEA, even though it took some serious drama to get there for these two. My favorite part of this book is reading about Rule and Shaw. I loved that their story continued in Jet, and now I can’t wait to get Rome and Cora’s story next. It’s still very mysterious!

White Chick, Jenn’s Review of Jet
Rating: 4 stars out of 5

This is the story of Jet and Ayden.. Jet being a rocker and Ayden is a student re-inventing herself.  We are first introduced to Jet and Ayden in Rule (book 1) and now we got a whole lot more.

The typical roles in a relationship were reversed in this book and I loved it.  Jet really had to try hard to get Ayden to let him in.  Ayden being Ayden has some serious baggage from her past to get over.  I love the interactions of these two both before they got together and after.

There book also had the ability to bring me through a circle of emotions.  There were a few times I may have shaken my kindle in the air in frustration and others when I laughed.  The ending of this book was my favorite part of this book.  Talk about a perfect HEA..this has it and I loved it.

Book Review

Rating: 3 stars out of 5

This isn’t your normal romance novel. It has a suspense, intrigue, romance and maybe a little love triangle.  Kate is the main character and is finally getting over something tragic from her past.  In starting the next chapter she is ready to begin again.

This story has romance and we definitely loved Neil and his character.  Oh the angst in this book…it came from many places.  Without giving away spoilers…Roger is creepy.  From the start there was something off on him even though a part of me wanted him to be the ultimate alpha male.  The book ends with a cliffhanger and now we patiently wait for the second book to see what happens next.  This was an easy read with angst, suspense and romance.

This is book two of the Inside Out Trilogy and we have been waiting a long time for this book. After finishing book one we patiently waited till this was one was released.  We were very lucky to get an ARC of the second book, Being Me.

The story picks up right where it left off in book one – If you haven’t read book one yet don’t read Being Me till you do.  This book continues to explore the relationship between Chris and Sara.  Oh how we love our tormented Chris with his dark side and tats and secrets.  Sara also has a few secrets that she hasn’t shared with Chris but knows she needs to in order for them to move forward.

The story also continues to look into Rebecca’s journal and her relationship.  There is definitely angst in this book, but there is also mystery and suspense.  Once we got this book and started we couldn’t put it down.  The author does a wonderful job weaving the story as well as the story lines.  The only negative about this book is it ended!!!! Is book three here yet????  Truly a great read.
