Holy crap balls! That’s all we have to say!

This book was beautifully heartbreaking. If you are fans of Charade’s Colt and Cheyenne’s story from the first book and thought it was heartbreaking, then you are in for a treat; ok,  you should also break out the tissues too! Adrian’s story takes the cake for a gut-wrenching. Nyrae did a fabulous job with Adrian and Delaney’s story.

We got to know Adrian in Charades, and he was known as the party guy. In Facade, he really isn’t the partying type–sure he does it, but only to mask away his pain, guilt and regret. He is secretly carrying a dark secret that is killing him inside. He has such a tortured soul–we just wanted to fix and love him!

Delaney, who has a good heart and trying to make amends with what her family has done. She also is flawed and doesn’t have the perfect life. Her mother hates her, her father ruined her family and her brother is constantly angry–all because of family secrets.

Delaney is set to find peace with all those who are affected by this tragic event.  Then she accidentally meets Adrian and they both spend time together. It started out with attraction, but the more they got to know each other; their connection deepened–even with each others secrets and lies. And of course their secrets run deep and eventually comes to light and causes heartbreak. There were so many twists and turns in their story, it was hard to put this book down. It truly is a story about forgiveness and learning how to move on.

We loved the alternate POV between Adrian and Delaney. It’s great to get inside the minds of all the characters and understand what they are thinking and why! Another reason why we loved Facade, is that we got a little more of Colt and Cheyenne in the book too! Facade is probably one of the best reads for us in 2013, we highly recommend it.

Looking forward to book three, Masquerade, which is about Madoxx Cross, Delaney’s brother.
